Background
OpenTeam has provided translation and interpreting services by a group of internationally qualified individuals since 1997. Our staff members work regularly and closely with a number of international agencies including UNESCO, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNDP, Asian Development Bank (ADB), JICA study teams and government Ministries such as Education, Youth and Sports, Environment, Commerce, Health and Women’s Affairs. Some notable works such as textbooks of Social Science subjects are used nationwide by primary and secondary school students and other numerous documents are posted on the Website of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Following years of working with repeat clients, OpenTeam is now working to provide professional translation and interpreting services changing from individual base to commercial registered Translation/Interpreting Company.
Vision
Our vision is to provide translation/interpreting services that are accurate, consistent, impartial, timely and at reasonable cost. We provide services that are nationally and regionally recognised. Above all, we work to effectively and efficiently improve communication between Khmer speaking and English speaking clients.
Mission
Cambodia recommenced diplomatic, economic, politic and cultural relations with international communities in 1993. However, language remains a barrier for Cambodians from all walks of life. The mission of OpenTeam is to break this communication barrier through provision of the highest quality translation of documents from English to Khmer and vice versa and interpreting for such events as trainings, workshops, casual meetings through to diplomatic summits.
